I have a test and a presentation tomorrow, so this post is probably going to be short and sweet. :)
Both of my classes were good today, but conversation was REALLY good. We started off by giving a short talk about whatever state we were from (as if we were telling someone where they should go if they were to travel there); places to go, places to stay, food to eat, activities to do, and how much money it would cost. There are people in my class from Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, Arkansas, and Idaho. After that, Karla had plans for something else, but things took a turn and we ended up just having a sort of question-and-answer session about the culture and government of Costa Rica. It was really fun and interesting! Karla is my favorite teacher here.
After class we headed to the mall to see what movies were showing since it was half-price Wednesday. We walked in and started heading to the end of the ticket line, but we couldn't find it! It kept going and going and going... It went the whole length of the mall, down to the food court, and around the corner. We never did see the end of it. There must have been a gazillion people there. And yes, gazillion is a real number. Well, we decided we weren't trying to stand in line for two hours when the movie might have been sold out by the time we got up there, so we found a table and ate at Pizza Hut AGAIN! It was heavenly. Pizza Hut never disappoints. :)
After having some delicious soup for dinner, Hannah, Amy, and I had yet another American food withdrawal session. Amy was literally looking up pictures of food on the Internet, and my mouth was watering big time. It was torture!
This next part is especially for my mom to read.
Please have the following food items in the house when I return:
-Velveeta and Rotel (for cheese dip)
-All the foods for my favorite meal (ingredients for poppy seed chicken, green beans with brown sugar, crescent rolls, sweet tea with REAL sugar, some type of pie for dessert)
-Peanut butter
-Oreos
Just kidding, Mom! (But not really.) I will probably gain 10 pounds the first week I am home...
My trip is about halfway over... I am sad and happy at the same time.
Sorry you missed the movie, but you can watch movies when you come home and eat your favorite meal! Have a fun weekend!
